Phil is the "Phil" in Phil 'n The Blanks Boise! As our frontman, Phil brings infectious energy to every show. Phil has provided lead vocals as well as rhythm and lead guitar for many years in dance rock bands based in Arizona, California, and now in the Treasure Valley, Idaho. Phil started his musical journey on the Hammond B3 organ, Rhodes piano, synthesizers,  and guitar at the tender age of 9 years old. He toured with several bands on the B3, Rhodes/Wurly (lots of fun breaking a tine or a reed during a gig IYKYK!), Hohner clavinet, synths, and vocals for years in the <ahem> 70's and 80's before earning an engineering degree from ASU, and settling down in California in the Silicon Valley area. He relocated to Idaho years ago and began singing and performing locally before he even moved into his new home! Phil's biggest thrill is the adrenaline rush from performing "live" in front of a RAWKIN' audience! Phil's gear includes Gibson, Fender, Martin, Taylor, Paul Reed Smith, Mesa, Budda, Charvel, Shure, Sennheiser, and others.   

Phil's motto: "The more you drink, the better we sound". LOL 

Mitch is a multi-talented force to be reckoned with on the five string bass! He expertly lays down the low frequency foundation for PNTB Boise on his sky blue Keisel 5 string bass. He also provides high harmony vocal parts, as well as lead singing chops to PNTB.  His gear includes: Keisel and Fender basses, as well as Markbass and Mesa bass amplification equipment, as well as Shure vocal microphones. 

Mitch's motto:  "I don't make mistakes when playing the bass, I make spontaneous creative decisions."

Tommy has been playing drums since the age of 10. At 15, he started jamming with local musicians and got hooked for life! His influences include John Bonham, Ginger Baker, Roger Taylor, Charlie Watts, Stewart Copeland, Bill Bruford, Neil Peart, Dave Weckl, Phil Collins, Alex Van Halen and others. After years of honing his craft, he began playing with an original act in Hollywood, and played that exciting musical scene for years. He plays both electronic and acoustic kits, and lays down the rhythmic drum and percussion foundation for our band. He is excited to have joined PNTB Boise, and is looking forward to sharing the stage with us! He also has cool hair!  ROCK ON!! 

Tommy's motto:  The first rule of drumming.. "if you make a mistake, turn and look angrily at the bass player". LOL 

Rob is a seasoned veteran. He  has been playing in bands since the age of 14. (some 20 years ago!? LOL) His tasteful leads, resourceful rhythm playing and vocal harmonies play a significant roll in the authentic sound of Phil n the Blanks Boise. Rob has had many musical influences, including Jimi Hendrix, EVH, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, SRV and Eric Clapton to name a few. Rob uses only the finest musical equipment from Budda, Music Man, Marshall, Jackson, Gibson and Fender. PNTB is lucky to have Rob provide lead guitar and vocals to our band!  

Rob's motto:  Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy a guitar, which is pretty much the same thing!
